Jupiter Retrograde in Capricorn: May 14, 2020

Jupiter Retrograde in Capricorn: May 14, 2020

Jupiter turned retrograde in Capricorn on May 14, 2020 and will stay until September 12, 2020. This transit isn’t nearly as heavily felt like Mercury, Venus and Mars retrogrades but they are still important and can be very beneficial by the time this planet goes direct again.

Jupiter is the planet of our higher thinking, philosophical mindsets, and our spiritual practices or religion. Planet Jupiter brings abundance to our lives and is the planet of one love and love for all. It expands our visions and broadens our horizons while pushing us to succeed and improve.

During this retrograde, issues of cultural and social expectations are highlighted. We will be pushed to reflect on our deepest needs and desires. You may take up a new study or even find a different path in life. Either way, this process is needed so you can evolve to a higher state of your conscious and subconscious mind.

Aspects to Jupiter

Jupiter makes a sextile to planet Neptune three times, while also meeting Pluto in conjunction three times during the stay in Capricorn. This can make us get high hopes and dreams, so be careful to not get too wrapped up and obsessed in your visions.

Don’t be so quick to take that risk as it could be that everything is not what it seems. Instead you should think it out, reflect on it, and then approach it slowly. What’s in store could be the greatest thing to happen but just make sure it’s exactly what you think it is. Jupiter is the truth-seeker, to build, develop, and expand while Neptune seeks to dissolve and create false reality.

Overall, Jupiter retrogrades never really do bring on the scary oh-sh*t feeling like your average Mercury retrogrades. It just gives us time to check in on our spiritual/political views and adjust things accordingly and evolve from there.

Since this retrograde is taking place in the sign work-for-it Capricorn, this can give us a clear, responsible head-space to stay goal-oriented and remain serious to our progress. Just don’t let hazy Neptune drift you off to dream world and slack off.

Jupiter Conjunct Pluto Transit

The last time Jupiter and Pluto met up in Capricorn was in 1771, during the Russian Plague. This transit happens every 13 years in a different sign and always represents cultural changes. Under this planetary influence, we are being asked to work as one together, a whole and better serve humanity. Transformation, growth, justice and law are all highlighted this year.
