All About Cancer Children

Your adorable, affectionate, and helpful little Cancer child will do whatever they can to see their loved ones smile! Your tiny crab will put family first, no matter what! They are the most family-oriented and nurturing sign of the zodiac. This tiny tot has a need to nurture and be nurtured. They’re delicate little souls and very sensitive. They have unpredictable mood swings as the moon itself waxes and wanes.

You can expect a lot of tears from your little Cancer! Such tiny little people with so many emotions! It can be hard for a Cancer to tune out their feelings. With such strong emotions, you can expect even stronger tantrums. When this little one reaches their all time high, you’ll know it! Most times, your little Cancer will just became shy and withdraw into their shell. It’s important that you learn the signs so you can help draw them back out.

It can be hard for the Cancer baby to transition to new things. Therefore, let the kid bring his favorite teddy to the first day of preschool if he wants! Cancer children need to feel a sense of familiarity to feel they are safe. They can also be clingy. They will cling to your side because you’re what feels familiar. Gently encourage your shy little crab to loosen his claws and interact with the things and people around him.


You’re probably used to your Cancer kiddie crying. I mean, what’s new, right? This doesn’t mean you should take any fuss less seriously than the last. Check in on your little one and find out what’s causing them to be so upset. You may find that they don’t even know, they just needed a moment. Validate your Cancer’s feelings and reassure them that it’ll be okay. Feelings come and go.

Cancer babies are apart of the Cardinal mode. This means, they have active energy and start things. If you find your little one slacking off or acting out, encourage a change of pace. Dance off, bike rides, racing, pillow fights, anything to shift the mood in your tiny crab and release the energy will help them. Just don’t expect to leave this one for quiet time alone. Cancer’s are clingy and the fear of abandonment is strong in this one. Leaving your Cancer baby alone will easily backfire!


Cancer’s usually steer clear from trouble and they’re more likely to listen to authority than others. That doesn’t mean they don’t find themselves in trouble from time to time though. Be gentle with your sensitive crabby! Yelling won’t get your far because they’ll naturally hide in defense and tune out what you’re saying. Your Cancer baby will likely burst into serious, volcanic, explosive crying when in trouble. Breathe.

Many Cancer children are highly aggressive so don’t be surprised if they begin acting out by kicking, swinging, or throwing objects. Their rage comes from their sensitivity. It’ll be hard to keep your cool when they act this way and if you need to step away, do it. Then, come back and acknowledge your little ones feelings. They most likely will not want to talk right away so it’ll be important to soothe first and talk later.


Your little Cancer is shy and this will certainly show at school! A large public school or big classroom may be intimidating to your tiny one. If you can, try opting for a private school or a small town school for this homebody sign. They need something cozy and safe feeling to truly thrive. A school that does dress code also can help your Cancer fit in with their peers better. It’s the sense of belonging, really.

Cancer children are highly creative. You can expect your little one to excel in arts and music. Your tiny tot may not seek out trouble because they’re usually obedient. In fact, your Cancer child could even be the teachers pet! They love to help out in the classroom and feel needed.

You will need to push your little crab out of its shell quite often! Your child may struggle to learn new things out of fear and this can be challenging when subjects in class get changed. Also, these creatures are lazy. While the Cancer child needs a nurturing environment, you must be disciplined and structure when it comes to your child’s learning. They can fall behind on homework or not drag themselves out of bed if you don’t set your foot down.
